We will explore the Southern Tanami Desert, staying at the world famous Newhaven Wildlife Sanctuary, visiting desert lakes that are almost never full, but might be for our visit, and we expect spectacular wild flowers to be in bloom. We will visit the rugged Davenport Ranges and beautiful Ruby Gap Gorge, and some hidden gems of the West Macdonnell Ranges. Once again we have made this tour possible with standard fuel tanks. This trip has beautiful scenic tracks that are fun but relatively easy, and you will become immersed in that special feeling that you can only get from watching the sunrise or sunset from a remote hill top. There will be time for a couple of unforgettable walks, and relaxation, in spectacular places. Keen photographers will love this trip. This adventure begins at the Devils Marbles on July 14 2026, and finishes at Tilmouth Well on July 27. Places are limited on this adventure. Some of our remote campsites have very limited spots and we have booked them all. You will need to be fully self sufficient, but we have planned an itinerary that allows a brief stop in Alice Springs on day eight, to top up the food and water, and empty the toilet. Transit permits and camping fees are included and sites have been organised buy us, but you will need to buy your Northern Territory National Parks Pass on line. There are various options that will suit different people. Grab that and we will have done the rest. A campsite fee surcharge applies for extra passengers. Price includes GST.
